-Independent third party auditing for the “Certified Trading Chains (CTC) Standards Compliance Audits”. conducted on mining companies in Rwanda and DRC.

- Development of Gender and ASM Framework for the World Bank, with a case study in Mozambique.

- Developing Good Practice Guidelines for Public Infrastructure and Mining a World Bank project led by the University of Dundee

- Designing a “Pilot Gypsum Small Scale Mining Program” for the Nigerian Ministry of Solid Mineral Development as part of World Bank funded program.

- Research into “Economics and infrastructure of the copper-cobalt mining region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo for Pact Congo, funded by USAID;

- Commodity value chain analysis of the craft sector in Southern Africa” funded by the WK Kellogg Foundation.

- Drafting policy and regulations for the artisanal and small-scale mining in Sierra Leone. This was a project funded by the United Kingdom, Department for International Development.

- Drafting the strategy and regulations matrix for the artisanal and small-scale mining in Liberia. This was a project funded by the USAID, in support of the government of Liberia.

- Drafting strategy for the artisanal and small-scale mining in South Sudan. This was a project funded by the government of South Sudan and supported by World Bank multi-donor trust fund.

In climate change, MutConsult works as in both an advisory capacity as well as a project developer.  The firm has experience in both climate mitigation and climate adaptation. The climate sub-sector neatly dovetails with the company’s experience in renewable energy since both are guided by the world’s desire to move towards a low carbon economy.
